Frequently Asked Questions

Greetings, fellow Festivarians! We've gotten some inquiries on how to buy ZimFest Evening Concert tickets, and so I thought I'd pass these tips on to everyone.

QUESTION: Do I have to buy my tickets from the Boulder Theater?
ANSWER: Yes-the Boulder Theater is the sole provider of ticketing services for the ZimFest Evening Concerts.

QUESTION: Do I need to buy in advance?
ANSWER: Not required, but wise. The "Buying Tonight" line can often be long and slow. The seating is GA (General Admission), and of course people have their own personal preferences: upholstered balcony seating, close to the dance floor, at a café table with a group of friends, close to the bar, close to the bathroom, close to the sound booth, … etc. etc. Having your ticket in advance will get you closer faster to where you want to be-where ever that is.

QUESTION: How do I reach the Box Office and when is it open?
ANSWER: The Box Office number is 303-786-7030. The bricks-and-mortar version is open during these hours: Tuesdays-Fridays from 3pm-7pm MST, Saturdays from 12 noon-5 pm MST. The online version is open 24/7 and can reached at www.bouldertheater.com . Click on "Zimbabwean Music Festival" in the Event Calendar (left side of page) to be brought directly to our pages.

QUESTION: OK-I'm on the online site but am still confused. Do I have to buy all single night tickets?
ANSWER: No. A 3-night discounted pass is available for purchase on the same page as the single-nights. Click on the option you want. A 2- night pass is not available. If you are coming to only 2 nights you will have to buy those as single-night options.

QUESTION: Will the Boulder Theater mail me my tickets? If not, how do I get them?
ANSWER: Alas, no. They offer a home printer "PrintPass" option (like the airlines letting you print your own boarding pass). You will be given the option to choose this "delivery" method when your online order is in the check out step. The fee is $1.00, which of course is less than what they used to charge to mail it to you, but more than waiting for free on the Will Call line. You can also pick up your tickets from Will Call anytime the bricks-and-mortar Box Office is open. To pick up your tickets at Will Call, please remember to bring the credit card you used to make the purchase and photo ID.

QUESTION: How do I know who's playing when?
ANSWER: Lineup info for each night (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) can be found in two places: the "Concerts" menu on the festival website at www.2009.zimfest.org , and also on the Boulder Theater's description page for each night. Again, go to www.bouldertheater.com and look to the left for the Events Calendar. Click on whichever night of the Zimbabwean Music Festival you are interested in.
